My name is Robert, I am a Sheep shearer based in Havant Hampshire I currently shear in Hampshire and West Sussex, I would be willing to travel further but you would have to cover the travel costs.
I specialise in small flocks, Pet flocks or single sheep and have sheared many different breeds of any size and condition including Rams/Tups. I have many years experience with livestock especially sheep gaining shearing awards from Sparsholt college in Winchester and the British Wool Marketing Board, I also work to a high standard keeping the sheep as stress free as possible.
I have two shearing machine's that I use to shear, The first is a mains powered Lister two speed the second is a 12 volt shearing machine that runs of a car battery making shearing in paddocks or fields where there is no mains power.
The technique of shearing I use is known as the Bowen method that was developed by Godfrey Bowen and his brother Ivan in New Zealand, Godfrey went on to set a new world record in 1953 when he sheared 456 sheep in nine hours.
